Role Overview
As our Head of Design & Projects, you will take a pivotal leadership role in delivering high-quality projects at the intersection of design excellence and strategic execution. As part of our team in Riyadh, you'll work in an ONSITE environment, championing innovative design solutions and navigating challenging commercial decisions. Leveraging your architectural and project management expertise, you will inspire teams and stakeholders to collaboratively achieve outstanding results across multidisciplinary projects.
Responsibilities
- Lead the planning, design, and delivery of complex architectural and real estate development projects from conceptualization through completion.
- Oversee and guide multidisciplinary project teams, including external consultants, ensuring alignment with client objectives and project goals.
- Manage project budgets, contracts, schedules, and quality standards, proactively identifying and addressing project risks.
- Facilitate collaboration between creative design and commercial project requirements, balancing aesthetics, function, and financial constraints.
- Represent the organization with key stakeholders, maintaining clear communication in both Arabic and English.
- Establish and enforce robust project delivery processes, standards, and documentation protocols.
- Provide mentorship, leadership, and performance feedback to design and project management teams.
- Drive innovation in project solutions and continuously enhance project outcomes.
Must have requirements
- 8+ years of relevant experience in architecture, real estate development, or project management
- Bachelor’s degree in Architecture or a related field
- Strong architectural background combined with substantial project management experience
- Proven expertise in managing multidisciplinary consultants and navigating complex stakeholder environments
- Deep understanding of architectural documentation, design processes, contracts, and project delivery methods
- Demonstrated ability to move seamlessly between creative design discussions and commercial project decisions
- Strategic and detail-oriented, with the confidence to take ownership of key projects
- Exceptional communication and leadership skills in both Arabic and English
Nice to have requirements
- Master’s degree in Architecture, Project Management, or Real Estate Development
- PMP, LEED, or other relevant certifications
- Experience with large-scale mixed-use or hospitality developments
- Familiarity with cutting-edge design technologies and BIM software
- Track record of successful delivery in the GCC region
- Experience establishing and scaling design or project management processes within fast-growth organizations
