Role Overview
Stepping into the Chief Accountant position, you will play a pivotal role in shaping our organization's financial integrity and reporting standards. As part of our team in Riyadh, you'll work in an ONSITE environment to ensure robust financial controls, regulatory compliance, and accurate multi-entity reporting. This opportunity calls for an experienced leader ready to drive excellence and growth within an established group structure.
Responsibilities
- Oversee and manage the entire financial accounting function, ensuring integrity, accuracy, and timeliness of financial statements.
- Lead the preparation and consolidation of group-level reports, including for multiple legal entities.
- Administer all Zakat, VAT, and statutory regulatory requirements, ensuring complete compliance with KSA laws.
- Develop and maintain robust financial controls, policies, and procedures across business units.
- Partner with leadership to provide financial insight and strategic recommendations.
- Drive the preparation for audit, liaising with external auditors and regulatory bodies.
- Continuously improve accounting processes, leveraging technology where possible.
- Mentor and support team members, fostering a detail-oriented and solution-driven culture.
Must have requirements
- Minimum 8+ years’ experience in professional accounting roles, with a proven success record in the KSA market
- In-depth expertise in financial controls, Zakat/VAT regulations, and regulatory compliance in Saudi Arabia
- Solid experience working with group structures and multi-entity financial reporting
- Exceptional attention to detail and advanced problem-solving capabilities
- Demonstrated resilience, calm and confident presence, with a strong sense of ownership and proactive growth mindset
Nice to have requirements
- Professional qualification such as CPA, CA, or CMA
- Hands-on experience with major accounting ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle)
- Familiarity with IFRS standards and experience in business transformation or system implementation projects
- Bilingual proficiency in English and Arabic, with clear and effective communication skills
- Prior experience leading or mentoring accounting professionals and teams
